The 80 percent Meme

Click for better view

In which "If you know 80% of these characters, then you're my friend" is how it goes...or so they say.

It was fun when I posted it on Deviantart and people guessed it.
Everyone even got their guesses right! I'm so happy~

Since I've already posted the answers on DA, so here it is (from left to right):
Sakata Gintoki from Gintama (c) Hideaki Sorachi
Shion/Sion from No. 6 (c) Atsuko Asano
Natsume Takashi from Natsume Yuujinchou (c) Midorikawa Yuki
Sawa Rakan from Silver Diamond (c) Shiho Sugiura
Ryuugamine Mikado from Durarara!! (c) Ryohgo Narita
North Italy from Hetalia (c) Himaruya Hidekaz
Sawada Tsunayoshi from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (c) Amano Akira
Okumura Rin from Ao no Exorcist (c) Kazue Kato
Takanashi Souta from Wagnaria/Working! (c) Karino Takatsu
Sanada Yukimura Gakuen Basara-version (c) ???

In the end, no one managed to guess No.4 due to the fandom being quite small (seeing as the series has yet to be animated) but someone did manage to guess 9 of them right even though they named two only by series.
It made me really happy because it means that my drawings are recognizable enough. I've seen a few others who also did this meme and some of them, when I looked at the answers, I was like 'o rly?' since I knew the character but could not recognize it. It's mostly due to the artist's style but...meh.

I chose to go with a 'sleep' theme, as you can see. It was fun coming up with their different poses. I tried to add an external feature that would help make them more recognizable. Like Gintoki's sword, Mikado's handphone, Tsuna's pet and Natsume's book of friends.

I'd like to try something like this again in the future
^^

When I Feel Like I've Worked Hard

I make it into my wallpaper.
Also, I recently just noticed that Pixiv is more international friendly now. They have a 'global' option for the address. So, I think I'm going to work hard over there too from now on.
I've also been more active on DA lately but that's only because this is still sem break. I hope I can keep up this drawing streak for a bit longer. My skills have really went down when I had that hiatus.
Oh, I also need to get to writing.
Hn.

Something. I. Did. On a Whim

akdjfalkshfskjdfkjsdlkfja
What did I just spent a portion of my youth on?
Drawn in PaintTool SAI, animated in Flash.

But I'm still planning on adding more frames to this. Maybe make them turn or talk or something if I can.

It's kind of like frame-to-frame animation. Something new~ something new~

Oh, and I'm not feeling very well today.

*feels like puking* UUGHHH

Play with Highlights!

In in some kind of art slump right now because I can't seem to get myself to work on something I specifically want so lately I've been doodling a lot. Whilst all the doodling, I still try to remember to practice on my colouring and shading. my lineart is still a wreck though. I can't seem to perform as well in SAI as I did in PS
That aside, I found a new activity that is fun to do and can help improve on the shades a bit~
So I made a tutorial! In case I forgot lol

So let's get to it then!

First and foremost!
Sketch
Nothing interesting about this one...
Lining
I decided to give it a bit of the inking. I do miss doing linearts like this. For some reason, no matter the thickness of the point, it'll feel cleanest if I do this type of lineart lol.
I shouldn't have to do a tutorial for that as well, do I?
place a dark colour as the background
It is advisable to choose a colour that has a lighter tone than the lineart (if you are the kind to not use black lines, like me) Although I named it base colour, the colour you choose will also act as a shadow since you will be playing with the highlights.
It will look like this
Now we're moving onto the actual shading!
Let's start!
Choose a lighter tone
This is basically how I choose the colours. See the arrows I drew above? That's the general direction to choose the colours. Likewise, when choosing darker tones, you just move it in the opposite direction. The colour mixer might look different in PS and in SAI but it works just the same way.
First shading
I chose a colour that is nearest to the bg colour for this. Notice how I kind of coloured both characters completely? I wanted to show that their shirts are light coloured. I will be layering on more shades on parts that should have lighter colour or that will definitely be facing the light source. If you squint (or click on the above image to see its full version) you'll see that Hibari's (the guy who's slightly out of frame)shirt is coloured more while his jacket is coloured less. This is because his shirt is of light colour (white) while his jacket is of dark colour (black). Despite it being black, it will still need highlights to show where it faces the light source, right?
The setting for the brush
I let the opacity remain mostly within 20%-40% and use the blur tool a lot. It's not impossible to do the same in PS. Keep the opacity just as that and keep the blur tool at a high opacity (perhaps 50% to 70%)
2nd shading and light source
I'm just showing the general direction of the light source. You don't actually need to draw arrows like that (but if it helps you, go on)
You can see that I've started to define the folds in the clothes. That's why I keep the brushes at low opacity most of the time. It's easier to shape them like that.
3rd shading, more shaping
Around this part, I've also started using a low opacity eraser to define the shadows. I have the erasor at 10% opacity.
final highlighting and shaping
It's okay if you colour outside of the lineart. We'll be cleaning that up next.
Erase unneeded shades
Add shadows
I know I said we'd be playing with highlights but some places do need to be darker. but I only use one dark shade to do his pupils and some more shaping in the folds.
Adjust the colours

And we're done~! That's about it really. It's quite fun actually. I wouldn't mind doing it again lol.
I hope it helps somewhat ^^;

Why Does it Need a Title?

Believe it or not, I think nee-san doesn't actually understand how to plan
ANYTHING.

You see, at the moment - perhaps as of last night
I was in turmoil over her event assignment.
overrated use of expression
I thought I was going to have that - oh! - extremely easy job of typing into MS powerpoint and probably a little English editing.
But no.
When I asked her, "Did you plan it yet? The timetable and everything?"
She had the decency to look blankly at me.

Gah. If she wasn't feeling so unwell, I would've lectured her till midnight about planning and actually coming up with SOMETHING!
I have this stupid feeling that she thinks everything will come into order if she sat in front of the laptop, staring at the blank slides.
Previously, I had even mentioned to her - probably gritted out to her that
YOU HAVE TO WRITE IT ON PAPER DAMMIT!
with me being all Romano
...and she goes ahead and DOESN'T do it.
*facepalm*

I'm still the younger sister.
and Okaa-san said I should help.
T_________________T

Thankfully,
I had something good happen to me recently.
I managed to talk a bit with my friend, Shiro-kun. Gosh, we haven't met in ages!
To my greatest surprise, she also knew Hetalia. Though she only watched the anime.

Last year - around December probably,
Senpai(Shiro-kun's sister) and I were face-booking together. I showed her one of Himaruya's christmas present to his fans
Somehow, from there I started to get her into Hetalia, showing pictures of this and that person.
Most of it being Im Young Soo.
I guess she managed to convince Shiro-kun to watch it too and now they've watched it to the recent episode.
They were all only 5 minutes long after all.

nearly 60% of our conversation was about Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia.
Lol
She was a bit surprised that I really adore Ivan and that Lovino and Feliciano shared the same seiyuu. I also told her that if she listened properly to Feli's voice, she'll see that it was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle's Fye.
Matthew and Alfred also shared the same seiyuu as D.Gray-man's Komui Lee.
I had a good laugh when I found out. Oh, the crazy similarities!

I wasn't sure if she actually knew this but, I am most shocked with Kiku's seiyuu.
He actually did the voice of KHR's S.Squalo
Y'know, the guy who goes "VOOOOOOOOOIIII!!!!!!!!!"
I had a hard time imagining Kiku like that but it was fun.

My favourite is still the Switzerland-Liechtenstein team~
Romi Paku and Kugimiya Rie
It's like Edward and Alphonse all over again. Family ties and all

I kind of ruined the fun and told Shiro-kun that Iggy's seiyuu was William T Spears in Kuroshitsuji.
She was like, "OMG HONTOU?!!!"
And I was like, "Yeah, hontou aru!"

Shiro-kun, let's meet up and go on a date this May and we'll eat donuts and talk about European History.
(*`v'*)~**

The only time when Google Translate is the awesomest tool alive is when it tells you what you want to know correctly and in a different language!
Yes!
This is because I was playing with Google Translate just a while ago.
I remember there was a time the Awesome Pa(originally known as Uncle S)
but we should, like, totally call him Vati or something...
said to us 'Arrivederci' just as we were parting

I don't think my sisters took note of this even though I was practically squealing, 'OMG! Didn't Mukuro like totally said that? That's, like, goodbye or something.'
Why yes, KHR's Mukuro did say that.
What I didn't realize at that time was that 'Arrivederci' was Italian for goodbye.
ASDADFLJLJDL:LK!!!!!!
Pa lives in Germany lol. Isn't it supposed to be 'Auf Wiedersehen' instead or something?

Yes, that's my sad life.

Other than that sad excuse of an entry introduction, I want to tell everyone that I'm taking 5 subjects this new semester.
4 of them being theory subjects
meaning I'll have to sit down for 4 papers
and 1 of them being Malaysian Studies
Now I can educationally use Genius Himaruya-san's Hetalia characters.
this shall be included with evil laughter BWAHAHAHAHA

I want my laptop back.

Comic Fiesta 2009 1st day report!

The pictures here are not for commercial use. If you are in any of it as a cosplayer, do leave a comment so I can credit you. The same goes if you would like the picture to be taken down. Thank you.

This post may also contain wrong facts because of bad memory. To those who had been to Comic Fiesta and noticed any wrong facts, please be kind as to let me now through a comment. Once again, thank you. Also, pictures don't really follow content but please bare with me.

I only have one word for it and it’s:

AWESOME!

I don’t care if anyone has issues regarding this and that but for a first AMG con (Anime Hanabi Festival doesn’t count!) that I attended; it sure had me on the tips of my toes.
Comic Fiesta wasn’t how I imagined it to be. In fact, it was even more amazing. Everything, from the artist booth to the MC to the management and, most importantly, the cosplay, it was just an unbelievable experience for me. It might just be because it’s my first con but I sure am certain I’d like to attend the next one. And maybe next time, it won’t just be for a day.

I guess my report should begin with the morning preparation of that day.
Both nee-san and I awoke quite early so we took our time preparing. Since I was cosplaying as a daily normal wallpaper-like innocent citizen, I didn’t have much to worry. Nee-san, on the other hand, was quite fussy since she wanted to go there in something that stood out. But in all honesty, even I could see that she wouldn’t. She didn’t like lacey frills, didn’t have boots, was short on accessories and looked pretty much as simple as…well, me. I didn’t tell her that though. It’d break her heart.

Next year, she said she’ll try harder.

*looks away*

Anyway, a bit after 9, nee-san’s friend, A-san, came to pick us up. There was a bit of a fuss and we nearly thought he couldn’t make it since he told her he had gotten lost but it turned out he was joking. Nee-san looked about ready to bite his head off but that would be too barbaric.

The ride to Sunway Pyramid was pretty far but A-san really drove like the wind. For a moment there, I thought we had entered the Grand Prix but that would be an insult to his driving abilities

What – is it?

We arrived at 10 and I was pretty surprised that I didn’t see fre- I mean cosplayers around.

*cough*

First cosplayer we approached: Squall

A-san and nee-san wanted to go around Sunway Pyramid at first, probably to get breakfast but I was adamant to see the convention hall where Comic Fiesta was going to be held at. A-san led the way and before I could approach the single escalator up, I started noticing people with strange clothes on and I was immediately going, “OMG! Cosplayers!”

But I didn’t say it out loud. I really didn’t. If nee-san, like, totally says I did, she’s, like, lying or something.

I knew that people would already be there at 10 in the morning but the crowd waiting in line for the ticket really did surprise me a bit. Now that I think of it, I should’ve felt weird that the hall wasn’t even more crowded than it was. Meh.

As we were waiting in line, I pointed at random cosplayers and told nee-san who came from which anime but she didn’t seem to understand anyway. I spotted Vampire Knight cosplayers and also a few D.Gray-man. There was even an Allen who had a bright Tim on top of his(?) head and was walking with Tyki. I really wanted to laugh at the irony then.

We got our tickets and also a One Academy goody bag at the One day ticket counter. After that we just aimlessly travelled around. I rang Zima-kun to ask her if she could come but she said she didn’t feel so good. Somehow, I knew she wasn’t going to come anyway. I took a few photographs of nee-san and a few cosplayers before we attempted to get into the convention hall but it turned out it wasn’t open until 11 so we lounged outside. I was finally able to dig around in the goody bag and pulled out a book with Comic Fiesta’s schedule and regulations. It seems that Artist Booths are places you can’t pull out a camera so I was a bit disappointed but the One Academy quirked my interests a bit.

Will look up their websites later.

The place we were lounging around was pretty in the middle of the road so nee-chan felt a bit embarrassed because she thought people were looking at us. I didn’t mind at all, they were probably only letting their eyes wonder around. Sometimes I think nee-san can be quite high of herself but let’s not tell her that. Despite wanting to dig in some more, I followed nee-san’s lead and wondered around. The cosplayers there really made me excited and my eyes roamed the crowds for a certain pasta-loving idiot with a signature hair curl.

To my disappointment, there was none. In fact, there wasn’t a SINGLE Hetalia cosplayer and my heart just kind of crashed. I really thought Hetalia was the ‘in’ anime in the present time but it seems Vocaloid and Kuroshitsuji was. Not that I mind the latter.

Roy(FMA) and Mukuro(KHR) cosplayer

A bit after 11, we finally made our way into the convention hall. I was practically bouncing as I walked around inside and immediately headed for the artist booth. It came as a bit of a surprise and major delight to find that Hetalia and KHReborn were quite popular among the artist there. Especially Hetalia.

My eyes were immediately on Italy items but it seems UK and US practically won overall popularity. Nee-san advised me to go around every booth before deciding on what to buy and I did. Well, at least I tried to. I think I managed to miss two or three rows. I even missed Kidchan’s and shiroineko’s booth! Not to mention the booth that sold Uruhara-san’s items! Once nee-san had helped take out our last RM50, I kind of just lost her in the midst of my excitement to purchase items. I can’t quite remember the first thing I bought but I do remember that the first doujin I bought was a Holy Roman EmpireXChibitalia fanbook. It reeked of cuteness to the MAX!

Gakuen Kagura cosplayer

I do remember something else that I overheard while I was searching for some hetalia items. I didn’t recognize it at first until she mentioned, “I lost my Hong Kong” and “Sorry, I’m a hardcore Nordic fan” but standing next to me was a China cosplayer. I just kind of freezed up but panicked when I noticed that I didn’t have the camera with me. In my head I was shouting

[“ZETSUBOUSHITAAAA!!!!”] – means ‘I’m in despair’. BTW, towards the end of the event, I really did see two Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei cosplayers.

I met and lost nee-san quite a number of times and I figure my bill raised a sum because I kept calling her to ask where she was. There was even one time she called me to draw something to get a free poster but I ended up losing her a few minutes after.

By 1:30, nee-san called to ask if I was hungry and I seriously answered ‘no’ because I seriously wasn’t. I think I ate my own excitement but that also sounds barbaric so let’s just go with ‘excitement filled my breakfast-less stomach’. It was actually quite an awesome feeling. I told nee-san that we needed to be up there by 2 because the cosplay competition was going to start and she argued that with the time remaining, we wouldn’t be able to grab a decent bite.

In the end, she opted to wait until the group cosplay competition was over. She complained that her feet hurt so she and A-san went to sit down. I, on the other hand, dominated the camera and went on pursuit to find that Hetalia cosplayer. That afternoon, fate didn’t favour me much and I ended up wondering around the artist booth until the cosplay competition started. Before that, I managed to grab an awesome cheesy USxUK doujin with pretty artwork.

Sebastian Michaelis(Kuroshitsuji) cosplayer waiting while people took pictures of her Ciel

The MC’s there were really vein-burstingly hilarious. You don’t get tired hearing them talk and comment on random things. The group cosplay competition was pretty fun to watch and cosplayers from series like Vocaloid, Vampire Knights and Bleach fandom participated. I particularly like the Vampire Knight skit. It was really just made of hilarity. Even nee-san, who knew neither hair nor toe of the series, was laughing along. They were also making fun of Twilight, which was the best part of all.

After that was a break session and I finally suggested we go eat. I wasn’t particularly hungry and though the time showed it was 2:30PM and the next One True Pairing Cosplay Competition starts at 3:30PM, I knew we just had to grab something to eat before one of us passes out.

We went down and I was quite surprised that there was no fre- I mean cosplayers wondering around. Did everyone bring their bento? My mind sought to wonder. We settled down at KFC and ordered three chicken rice plates – all paid by the generous A-san

[Domo arigatou~!]

A Pandora Hearts cosplay group

I showed what I had bought and they showed me theirs but alas, it well passed 3.30 by the time we were stepping out of KFC. When nee-san and I finally got up through the escalator, I noticed a group of Hetalia cosplayers sitting on the carpeted floor right next to the escalator. Among them was a very kawaii Italy dressed in his trademark blue uniform. My dreams were probably already realized at that time but since they were still busy preparing, I didn’t want to disturb them but I was convinced to finally be able to get a picture of them later on.

In the hall, many people crowded around the stage to watch the OTP Cosplay Competition. I didn’t really know why I wasn’t as interested but I did watch it. It wasn’t until the Vampire Knight skit that I got my spirit back. Those cosplayers were just made of win. Even after the cosplay competitions, the MC managed to liven up the mood with free goods and many more shows. I continued to go in and out of the artist booth, snapping random pictures and joining in with the crowds of photographers, mostly made up of men.

Performance after performance was done on the stage. After a group of assorted cosplayers performed a series of what I assume would be a synchronized dance routine, caramelldansen started to play. The crowd went wild and everyone started to get on stage. Everyone’s enthusiasm made me feel strangely elated and I couldn’t help but to dance along. There was also a cosplayer in front of me who danced to it. I think if there was an animanga maniac who didn’t know caramelldansen, they should, like, do more research on youtube lol.

Nee-san was pretty stuffy later on about the fact that I was conquering the camera and I told her that if she could find me a cosplayer who had short brown hair, a large curl in the hair and in a blue uniform, I’d return the camera. We went through the hall a bit before we spotted Sealand-kun with someone who’s either Hungary or Belarus. I forced nee-san to take a picture with Sealand-kun. Nee-san suggested that we go search outside the hall because the cosplayer I was searching for might be outside.

I can’t believe how right she was.

Finally! I found Italy!

Sitting in a group of four, Italy, Romano, China and Japan were talking animatedly with each other. Italy was no longer wearing the blue uniform but I was just excited to see the curl sticking out of that brown wig. Once I had realized my dream of taking pictures of the Hetalia cast, nee-san, A-san and I practically wondered around and took pictures with random cosplayers. I can’t help but notice that there really were a lot of Vocaloid cosplayers in comparison to every other animes but it might just be my imagination. Pandora Hearts and Fullmetal Alchemist were thankfully there too. Seeing Sakata Gintoki and Shimura Shinpachi’s cosplayer also made me feel more complete since nee-san took a picture of gakuen Kagura earlier on.

I tried my luck inside once more and sadly noted that the battery of nee-san's camera was quickly dying. It was getting late anyway and our feet were hurting us and nee-san was worried she was starting to smell.

To my greatest awe, the Nordic brothers(?) headed my way and I quickly collected my wits and approached Finland. To add the cherry on my massive hetalia fandom cake, Su-san remained standing next to Finland. My heart was about ready to burst with fangirlish awesomeness. After that last picture, the battery completely died and I suggested we go home even though there was another hour left. I didn’t feel like I was up to watching the cosplayers without being able to take pictures of them.

So we returned home and I dozed off in the car.

That also concludes the amazing day I spent at Comic Fiesta 2009. I hope next year will be better.

Here are also a few blog/journal entries I found regarding this event

As a reminder, pictures on this post are not for comercial use(though I don't see why anyone would even consider) and any mistakes on facts or my bad grammar even will hopefully be alerted on. I'll thank you a million if you do.

Crazy Year-End

Anime Hanabi Festival with CCS Sakura cosplayer.

Five more days to Comic Fiesta 2009!
w00t!
And I still have a gazillion things to get to, like assignments and whatnot.
It's times like this that I'm easily attracted to doing what I like best, photoshopping pictures
...gah, I need my focus back

Recently, I haven't been able to doodle more stuff on the wall of our living room.
I should work hard and get my assignments done before I can draw Hetalia to join the Reborn characters.

I also wanna go home. Once this week is over, if our classes end, nee-san and I are planning to return home until next year. I've got my finals coming up this 4th of Jan. School kids are also probably busy at that time too.
[Yosh!]

These things should be illegal. So freakin' cute
>_<
But if I buy one of these things, Kak Long is going to scream and never step foot into my room. Ever.
Even my little kumo-chan is already quite unbearable to her.
She's creeped out by those beady eyes that teddy bears have.
It should be called something like 'beadieteddyeyeaphobia' or something.
but it's seriously amusing.

The busstop outside our condo.
Honestly, I'm just dumping old photos to get ready for Comic Fiesta.
My mind is only on Comic Fiesta. Seriously!
Nee-san went to Sunway Pyramid two days ago to survey the place. Apparently it's huge and she got lost quite a lot of time. A friend of hers will be sending us there so I'm very thankful since there's not much available public transportation around there.
Nee-san also got a CF09' flyer.
Apparently there's going to be Artist booths, cosplay competitions, workshops and portfolio pavilion.
I'm most excited about the last one.
Y'see, the description of it is:
"Always wanted to show your work to the "right people"? Well, they will be right there, right then, waiting for you to show them the best! If you got it, come flaunt it to out VIPs at our Portfolio Pavilion!"

Gosh!
Nee-san told me to bring my artworks but I'm worried it's not good enough!
Because I've been quite distracted lately, I haven't been able to draw much.
My skills are getting rusty
AAAAGH!!! I 'm excited and scared at the same time!
We'll just see then, if I have the courage there.

An old photo of Anje, Aneki and me reading Kreko. Lol at Aneki and my expressions.

Aneki and her husband while they are playing at the beach.
Such a lovey-dovey couple
-_-;;

It's okay to post this right?
I'm still working on the others. Sorry~

I wanna watch Hachikuro
Morita-saaaaaan!

Happy Eidl Adha!

So yesterday, every muslim around the world celebrated Aidul Adha.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and motivating day!
This entry was to just wish everyone a good raya~!

but somehow...

I felt like showing some pictures I recently got around to edit of the time I went out with my sisters. It was around 2 weeks ago?
Gosh so long ago.
Neways,
Here it is:-

Last 14th November, I went to the Anime Hanabi Festival at Berjaya Times Square, having been informed by ShiroiNeko-san. By the way, I saw her but was too much of a coward to go any closer. Admission was RM2 and my sisters and I, a total of 4 people, got in.
Above picture are two Reborn cosplayers.
They were the only one I was brave enough to ask a photo with since I was amazed that I'd find Reborn cosplayers there.
TYL!Tsuna
*fangirl squeal*
I was pretty nervous about going in and felt pretty lonely because I was the only one who got excited about stuff like this.
T^T
Everyone was pretty friendly enough, I guess.
I kept in mind what behindinfinity had mentioned about convention ethiques and all that.
But really, I felt like screaming my lungs out.

With Tamaki-senpai cosplayer.
Gosh, he seemed pretty classy and friendly and really reminded me of the real Tamaki-senpai.
I swear, I could imagine pink roses around him.
I don't have much motivation to edit all the other cosplayers I took pictures with. I guess they will remain memories
lol

I did see Cardcaptor Sakura, Yamato-sensei from Naruto, Itachi and Sage Naruto. My sisters chased after an FFX Riku cosplayer and we took pictures with her outside.
I couldn't spend much time in there since we had actually planned to spend the day with Uncle S.
I didn't feel any regret about leaving the convention since Uncle S was such a great company.
I hope I'll get to go to the Anime Fiesta this December!
The next day, I didn't have a chance to visit Anime Hanabi Festival again sadly because we were in a tight schedule, having planned to pay Midvalley a visit.

Lol, I gave this picture a title like, Rows of Flower.
Before going to Midvalley, Aneki and nee-chan helped haul our stuff back to our place and we found Anje watching Winter Sonata by herself. Alone.
So we decided to take her out too.

Nee-chan on the tren to Bandaraya station.

I underestimated my body's physical abilities and ended up feeling preety wrong in the stomach when we were wondering around MidValley.
My period pains acted up and it was hell on the loose for me.
The place was freakishly cold so nee-chan gave me gloves to wear and Aneki spoon-fed me pattaya fried rice, which didn't taste that good in all actuality.
The Midvalley journey was actually quite a long and regretful journey but we made it home and that enough is something to be thankful about.
Oh, and I did a new meme

Tsuna pile!

Here's just telling everyone I'm taking weekday break from all forms of assignment.
It's breaking my head and I'm still constantly thinking about how to get around to making it out of thin air.
Ok, complete lie there.
I still have a few resources that I will just have to live with.
Agh! Stop thinking about the assignment!
[Yamete aru, jibun!]
trans: Stop, oneself!
Chill already!

Yes, tomorrow, on my, hopefully, first eventful weekday since a while, I want to go out with my siblings who managed to gather together in Aneki's in-laws' house and the generous uncle who has helped me so much in the past and is still helping us with a lot of things.

A few days ago, Aneki arrived in KL and spent loving time with her husband until last Tuesday when we had finally sought each other to meet generous Uncle S (as nee-chan dubs him in her blog)
Last Tuesday, after having an eventful and limb challenging day in the National Zoo, we had agreed to making KLCC our meeting point.
I'm not going to elaborate much on that but I just want to mention that,
Dear Uncle S,
Thank you for the dinner and supper that night! And the presents!

*laughs*
He's such a funny man and down-to-earth. Did I mention he was generous? and funny?
Ah, I still can't stop thanking him deep down.
I feel like,
if I were to ask more from him, it would make me feel very embarrassed. What he has already given, I will treasure so much.
Today,
Even though it was such a short meeting in Berjaya TS, he bought us -confidential information- and gave -confidential information- and even paid for -confidential information-!
*manly tears*
BTW, confidential information does not contain disturbing or inappropriate content. To those who have placed their heads into the gutter, please carefully take it out again.
Out of all he did tonight, -confidential information- was the one that brought me to tears. Because of the slight financial epidemic nee-san and I were facing at the moment because of childish over-spending, we were both really grateful he had -confidential information- to us to help lessen our burden.
Okaa-san had also been awed by what Uncle S had done.
I don't think just 'Thank you' could cover up this overwhelming sense of gratitude I have for him.
I really do wonder what tomorrow brings.
As a closing note to this unexpectedly long entry,
I had planned to make it shorter
This is Animal-box Hibari. So cute.

Failz Attempt at Scanlation

I’ve always been interested in the Japanese language.
But…How should I say this…?
I’m more interested in the animanga version of the language.
Since I like shounen animes with all its informalities and curses, I have come to like those kinds of Japanese.
For example; in all its appropriateness, to ask where one is at that moment it would be,
[Ima, anata wa doko ka?]
Tends to be just,
[Omae doko?]
Ah…that’s why the thought of properly learning Japanese is quite so-and-so
Recently though, I tried to translate a KHR doujinshi called [Lupoleprotto]
Etou…the title is Italian for something that I don’t know.

A while ago, there was already a translated version of it.
It was in my old harddisk. It became history already
I did find the lupoleprotto reprint scans on aarinfantasy though so I did most of the translations based on memory and common sense.

Right, this translation felt a bit awkward if you don’t get the story, doesn’t it?
Well, in short, Hibari-san, the one with black hair, is a wolf and Tsunayoshi, the small one, is a rabbit.
Tsunayoshi lost his whole family to the humans so he had ran away to the mountains.
Hoping to end his life by being eaten by the predators and return to the soil, he was found by Hibari.
Hibari, having just finished making his own territory on the mountain, was perhaps stirred by the little rabbit’s tale and decided to keep him as company.
So the story goes, if my memory still serves me.
Thus the [Jyaa nande Hibari-san wa ore no koto tabete kurenain desuka?]
…which, by the way, I’m not even sure equally means “Then, how come Hibari-san hasn’t eaten me yet?”
I think it was something along those lines.
I’m not exactly sure what [kurenain] means.
Help, anyone?

This one is from the second story.
Tsunayoshi has grown up a bit and decides to go out alone.
While frolicking(lol, not really) he accidentally bumps into a fox named Belphagor, or Bel for short.
I haven’t seen a scanlation of this anywhere so it’s done purely on my own knowledge.
I think Bel’s a kept fox though since there was talk about humans.

Okay, this one has me stumped

[ore no inochi no onjin de]
From my ‘Japanese Vocabulary for Speakers & Readers’, it says onjin(with the exact same kanji) means ‘person to whom one feels obligation’
So, what Tsunayoshi is saying to Bel is that he feels he is obligated to give his life(inochi) to Hibari…?
I really don’t know.
Help, someone?

Aaaaaand, that’s all.

I’ll work hard in the future~
