As Expected...I got Busy

^This got rejected in class yesterday

I don't know how to say it anymore. My predictions last year became true. I'm super busy now.
This semester, I'm taking Creative Web Design, Essentials Business Communication Skill (English 5), Introduction to Database SQL, Digital Photography and 2D Animation. Out of all that 5, I want to excel in FOUR(4) of them.

The feeling is so different from last sem! Because we focused a lot more on business and arts, my eagerness to shine kind of went downhill. There wasn't really a subject I truly liked and knew I would enjoy.

But...

BUT...

This sem turned out as if it was making up for all of that by giving me a whole bunch of subjects that I like and was looking forward to learning (well, except for English)

Creative Web Design is a subject I'm looking forward to teaching me about html, xml and css. Also, my scriptwriting lecturer is teaching that and I don't know why but I'm thrilled at the prospects of learning under her again.
Introduction to Database SQL will allow me to understand the workings of Microsoft Access, which was a topic I had to skip in high school due to time limitations and damnit if I'm not interested in that. I've been dying to learn that since I was 17!
Don't even get me started on Digital Photography. That's like my second hobby after drawing! I'm really am hoping I get to develop my creative and artistic side (which, btw, I'm really lacking).
Lastly, 2D animation. It's ANIMATION, you guys! That in itself is exciting already.

And I have a platonic student crush on my lecturer (He's from Iran btw >w<). More reason to attend his class and give it my all! Before you go around pining me or joking about me having a crush on some guy, the feeling is totally the same as what I feel for Ms.Xuan.
It's like a deep respect+fangirling because they're so cute and seem so nice but I know are strict and make me want to do even better in my works.
Ah....I miss Ms.Xuan.
What is it with me and foreign lecturers? >.>;

Anyway, my 2D Sir told us to make a blog for our team. So here's mine:
1000words
It was originally supposed to be about yuumei's flash comic, '1000 words' but...as mentioned above...it got rejected. I made a new storyline though! Under the same title and it involves a lot of nekotalias~! Be sure to check that blog out for cute animated kitties >w<; Anyway, I wrote this to express how truly busy I've been lately. Last week, I was out EVERYDAY of the week. It was tiring, seriously. I couldn't even sit down to draw anything decent and I still haven't. This week even! I was free on Thursday and could finally get to doing some chores at home but ended up spending most of the time studying about the history of animation for our 2D individual assignment.
Good news~! Sir had told us that he would choose 3 people who did the best on the assignment to present about it next week. I was one of them! It is truly an honour and I really felt all my hard work had paid off. I thought I wouldn't get it because of the wall of text I put and that all my images were in the appendix. What a delighted (and nerve-wrecking) shock it was to hear my name among those chosen. Thank you so much, Sir Ahmad! I will definitely do my best for the presentation next week~!

I guess the excitement from getting my hard work paid off is still running through my veins.

Our Digital Photography class has also made improvements. The first assignment has been given out. It's about shutter speed (+aperture). Although it's due in three weeks, our lovely lecturer, Ms. Lis, told us she wants to see some of our shutter speed photos by next week.

So, Rieya-chan and I will be going out tomorrow to take pictures in the busy streets of Bukit Bintang. I'm thinking there will be a lot of action there that we can snap. I'm also hoping to do some light painting if we can because we'll be out till night.

I don't think I can get down to drawing anything decent until the end of the month. It's depressing but the feeling is mostly over-ridden by the excitement of learning MultiMedia again!

Remember what I said about wanting to take more pictures in my last entry? Yeah, Rieya-chan and I are planning on going to Genting Highlands to do a photoshoot we've always dreamed of doing. It's like one of our fantasies that can come true if we work hard enough. We haven't set an actual date yet and we're not financially well at the moment...but it's definitely on our minds.

Other than that, recently I can't stop listening to Kuromyu2 (Kuroshitsuji Musical 2) It's really captivating. Even Alan and Eric's song is enjoyable to listen to. Ah well...I'll find something new to listen to soon probably.

But I'm seriously tired to the core now.

Bases and Musicals

The Japanese boyband KAT-TUN:

The Hetalia boyband remake:

...still in their base version.
SuFin are so badass >.>
It was a request by HikariKame on DA
It went something like this:

Song: REAL FACE by KAT-TUN

Italy: Taguchi Junnosuke [adorable and silly]
Sweden: Akanishi Jin [just odd]
China: Nakamaru Yuichi [normal, the oldest/mature]
Finland: Kamenashi Kazuya [sweet guy]
Spain: Ueda Tatsuya [easy going and adorable-romantic streak]
America: Tanaka Koki [they both rap and are funny]

I hope I got them all right.
I don't really know KAT-TUN so I was really nervous about doing this.
The vid I downloaded was also corrupted near the end so it gave me a lot of trouble when I wanted to take reference for their clothes...
*sigh*
Surprisingly, it took me around 4-5 hours to do that but I haven't added complete base colouring, shading, details and I think I'm gonna use a bit of texture this time around...

...

Enough about my crappy drawings!
Recently(not so very recent)
Shiro-kun posted something about Monoshitsuji at FB
it was on Senpai's wall but...yeah
So, I was like, "Ok, fine, maybe I should try watching it."
I did. On one episode and a half.
Curse you, internet.
Since megaupload video was being a sweet bitch, I decided to direct my Kuroshitsuji obsessions to Youtube.
Guess what I found there?

Kuroshitsuji Musical~~
:la: if there wera la icons here, I'd put a long line of it:la:

Now I'm a fan of Matsushita Yuya, who plays as Sebastian Michaelis.
He's on the short side but definitely bishie-material
*headwall*
His voice isn't like Ono Daisuke, it's quite high but I really love it!
I love every single songs he sang in the Musical, which wasn't much sadly.
My favourite would be 'Yes, My Lord.'
If I had an mp3 of it, I'd be listening to that song everywhere.

So, last night, while procrastinating on the above request,
I wiki'd him
asdlaksjdlasjdas!!
Kuroshitsuji Musical was his first stage debut when he was 19~
He did such a fine job of it!
Well, okay...he still does mistakes on stage but he's only human after all
My favourite mistake was the tablecloth trick!

Must...stop...fangirling...AAAAGGH!!

Can you tell how uninteresting my life is?

Why Does it Need a Title?

Believe it or not, I think nee-san doesn't actually understand how to plan
ANYTHING.

You see, at the moment - perhaps as of last night
I was in turmoil over her event assignment.
overrated use of expression
I thought I was going to have that - oh! - extremely easy job of typing into MS powerpoint and probably a little English editing.
But no.
When I asked her, "Did you plan it yet? The timetable and everything?"
She had the decency to look blankly at me.

Gah. If she wasn't feeling so unwell, I would've lectured her till midnight about planning and actually coming up with SOMETHING!
I have this stupid feeling that she thinks everything will come into order if she sat in front of the laptop, staring at the blank slides.
Previously, I had even mentioned to her - probably gritted out to her that
YOU HAVE TO WRITE IT ON PAPER DAMMIT!
with me being all Romano
...and she goes ahead and DOESN'T do it.
*facepalm*

I'm still the younger sister.
and Okaa-san said I should help.
T_________________T

Thankfully,
I had something good happen to me recently.
I managed to talk a bit with my friend, Shiro-kun. Gosh, we haven't met in ages!
To my greatest surprise, she also knew Hetalia. Though she only watched the anime.

Last year - around December probably,
Senpai(Shiro-kun's sister) and I were face-booking together. I showed her one of Himaruya's christmas present to his fans
Somehow, from there I started to get her into Hetalia, showing pictures of this and that person.
Most of it being Im Young Soo.
I guess she managed to convince Shiro-kun to watch it too and now they've watched it to the recent episode.
They were all only 5 minutes long after all.

nearly 60% of our conversation was about Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia.
Lol
She was a bit surprised that I really adore Ivan and that Lovino and Feliciano shared the same seiyuu. I also told her that if she listened properly to Feli's voice, she'll see that it was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle's Fye.
Matthew and Alfred also shared the same seiyuu as D.Gray-man's Komui Lee.
I had a good laugh when I found out. Oh, the crazy similarities!

I wasn't sure if she actually knew this but, I am most shocked with Kiku's seiyuu.
He actually did the voice of KHR's S.Squalo
Y'know, the guy who goes "VOOOOOOOOOIIII!!!!!!!!!"
I had a hard time imagining Kiku like that but it was fun.

My favourite is still the Switzerland-Liechtenstein team~
Romi Paku and Kugimiya Rie
It's like Edward and Alphonse all over again. Family ties and all

I kind of ruined the fun and told Shiro-kun that Iggy's seiyuu was William T Spears in Kuroshitsuji.
She was like, "OMG HONTOU?!!!"
And I was like, "Yeah, hontou aru!"

Shiro-kun, let's meet up and go on a date this May and we'll eat donuts and talk about European History.

Comic Fiesta 2009 1st day report!

The pictures here are not for commercial use. If you are in any of it as a cosplayer, do leave a comment so I can credit you. The same goes if you would like the picture to be taken down. Thank you.

This post may also contain wrong facts because of bad memory. To those who had been to Comic Fiesta and noticed any wrong facts, please be kind as to let me now through a comment. Once again, thank you. Also, pictures don't really follow content but please bare with me.

I only have one word for it and it’s:

AWESOME!

I don’t care if anyone has issues regarding this and that but for a first AMG con (Anime Hanabi Festival doesn’t count!) that I attended; it sure had me on the tips of my toes.
Comic Fiesta wasn’t how I imagined it to be. In fact, it was even more amazing. Everything, from the artist booth to the MC to the management and, most importantly, the cosplay, it was just an unbelievable experience for me. It might just be because it’s my first con but I sure am certain I’d like to attend the next one. And maybe next time, it won’t just be for a day.

I guess my report should begin with the morning preparation of that day.
Both nee-san and I awoke quite early so we took our time preparing. Since I was cosplaying as a daily normal wallpaper-like innocent citizen, I didn’t have much to worry. Nee-san, on the other hand, was quite fussy since she wanted to go there in something that stood out. But in all honesty, even I could see that she wouldn’t. She didn’t like lacey frills, didn’t have boots, was short on accessories and looked pretty much as simple as…well, me. I didn’t tell her that though. It’d break her heart.

Next year, she said she’ll try harder.

*looks away*

Anyway, a bit after 9, nee-san’s friend, A-san, came to pick us up. There was a bit of a fuss and we nearly thought he couldn’t make it since he told her he had gotten lost but it turned out he was joking. Nee-san looked about ready to bite his head off but that would be too barbaric.

The ride to Sunway Pyramid was pretty far but A-san really drove like the wind. For a moment there, I thought we had entered the Grand Prix but that would be an insult to his driving abilities

What – is it?

We arrived at 10 and I was pretty surprised that I didn’t see fre- I mean cosplayers around.

*cough*

First cosplayer we approached: Squall

A-san and nee-san wanted to go around Sunway Pyramid at first, probably to get breakfast but I was adamant to see the convention hall where Comic Fiesta was going to be held at. A-san led the way and before I could approach the single escalator up, I started noticing people with strange clothes on and I was immediately going, “OMG! Cosplayers!”

But I didn’t say it out loud. I really didn’t. If nee-san, like, totally says I did, she’s, like, lying or something.

I knew that people would already be there at 10 in the morning but the crowd waiting in line for the ticket really did surprise me a bit. Now that I think of it, I should’ve felt weird that the hall wasn’t even more crowded than it was. Meh.

As we were waiting in line, I pointed at random cosplayers and told nee-san who came from which anime but she didn’t seem to understand anyway. I spotted Vampire Knight cosplayers and also a few D.Gray-man. There was even an Allen who had a bright Tim on top of his(?) head and was walking with Tyki. I really wanted to laugh at the irony then.

We got our tickets and also a One Academy goody bag at the One day ticket counter. After that we just aimlessly travelled around. I rang Zima-kun to ask her if she could come but she said she didn’t feel so good. Somehow, I knew she wasn’t going to come anyway. I took a few photographs of nee-san and a few cosplayers before we attempted to get into the convention hall but it turned out it wasn’t open until 11 so we lounged outside. I was finally able to dig around in the goody bag and pulled out a book with Comic Fiesta’s schedule and regulations. It seems that Artist Booths are places you can’t pull out a camera so I was a bit disappointed but the One Academy quirked my interests a bit.

Will look up their websites later.

The place we were lounging around was pretty in the middle of the road so nee-chan felt a bit embarrassed because she thought people were looking at us. I didn’t mind at all, they were probably only letting their eyes wonder around. Sometimes I think nee-san can be quite high of herself but let’s not tell her that. Despite wanting to dig in some more, I followed nee-san’s lead and wondered around. The cosplayers there really made me excited and my eyes roamed the crowds for a certain pasta-loving idiot with a signature hair curl.

To my disappointment, there was none. In fact, there wasn’t a SINGLE Hetalia cosplayer and my heart just kind of crashed. I really thought Hetalia was the ‘in’ anime in the present time but it seems Vocaloid and Kuroshitsuji was. Not that I mind the latter.

Roy(FMA) and Mukuro(KHR) cosplayer

A bit after 11, we finally made our way into the convention hall. I was practically bouncing as I walked around inside and immediately headed for the artist booth. It came as a bit of a surprise and major delight to find that Hetalia and KHReborn were quite popular among the artist there. Especially Hetalia.

My eyes were immediately on Italy items but it seems UK and US practically won overall popularity. Nee-san advised me to go around every booth before deciding on what to buy and I did. Well, at least I tried to. I think I managed to miss two or three rows. I even missed Kidchan’s and shiroineko’s booth! Not to mention the booth that sold Uruhara-san’s items! Once nee-san had helped take out our last RM50, I kind of just lost her in the midst of my excitement to purchase items. I can’t quite remember the first thing I bought but I do remember that the first doujin I bought was a Holy Roman EmpireXChibitalia fanbook. It reeked of cuteness to the MAX!

Gakuen Kagura cosplayer

I do remember something else that I overheard while I was searching for some hetalia items. I didn’t recognize it at first until she mentioned, “I lost my Hong Kong” and “Sorry, I’m a hardcore Nordic fan” but standing next to me was a China cosplayer. I just kind of freezed up but panicked when I noticed that I didn’t have the camera with me. In my head I was shouting

[“ZETSUBOUSHITAAAA!!!!”] – means ‘I’m in despair’. BTW, towards the end of the event, I really did see two Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei cosplayers.

I met and lost nee-san quite a number of times and I figure my bill raised a sum because I kept calling her to ask where she was. There was even one time she called me to draw something to get a free poster but I ended up losing her a few minutes after.

By 1:30, nee-san called to ask if I was hungry and I seriously answered ‘no’ because I seriously wasn’t. I think I ate my own excitement but that also sounds barbaric so let’s just go with ‘excitement filled my breakfast-less stomach’. It was actually quite an awesome feeling. I told nee-san that we needed to be up there by 2 because the cosplay competition was going to start and she argued that with the time remaining, we wouldn’t be able to grab a decent bite.

In the end, she opted to wait until the group cosplay competition was over. She complained that her feet hurt so she and A-san went to sit down. I, on the other hand, dominated the camera and went on pursuit to find that Hetalia cosplayer. That afternoon, fate didn’t favour me much and I ended up wondering around the artist booth until the cosplay competition started. Before that, I managed to grab an awesome cheesy USxUK doujin with pretty artwork.

Sebastian Michaelis(Kuroshitsuji) cosplayer waiting while people took pictures of her Ciel

The MC’s there were really vein-burstingly hilarious. You don’t get tired hearing them talk and comment on random things. The group cosplay competition was pretty fun to watch and cosplayers from series like Vocaloid, Vampire Knights and Bleach fandom participated. I particularly like the Vampire Knight skit. It was really just made of hilarity. Even nee-san, who knew neither hair nor toe of the series, was laughing along. They were also making fun of Twilight, which was the best part of all.

After that was a break session and I finally suggested we go eat. I wasn’t particularly hungry and though the time showed it was 2:30PM and the next One True Pairing Cosplay Competition starts at 3:30PM, I knew we just had to grab something to eat before one of us passes out.

We went down and I was quite surprised that there was no fre- I mean cosplayers wondering around. Did everyone bring their bento? My mind sought to wonder. We settled down at KFC and ordered three chicken rice plates – all paid by the generous A-san

[Domo arigatou~!]

A Pandora Hearts cosplay group

I showed what I had bought and they showed me theirs but alas, it well passed 3.30 by the time we were stepping out of KFC. When nee-san and I finally got up through the escalator, I noticed a group of Hetalia cosplayers sitting on the carpeted floor right next to the escalator. Among them was a very kawaii Italy dressed in his trademark blue uniform. My dreams were probably already realized at that time but since they were still busy preparing, I didn’t want to disturb them but I was convinced to finally be able to get a picture of them later on.

In the hall, many people crowded around the stage to watch the OTP Cosplay Competition. I didn’t really know why I wasn’t as interested but I did watch it. It wasn’t until the Vampire Knight skit that I got my spirit back. Those cosplayers were just made of win. Even after the cosplay competitions, the MC managed to liven up the mood with free goods and many more shows. I continued to go in and out of the artist booth, snapping random pictures and joining in with the crowds of photographers, mostly made up of men.

Performance after performance was done on the stage. After a group of assorted cosplayers performed a series of what I assume would be a synchronized dance routine, caramelldansen started to play. The crowd went wild and everyone started to get on stage. Everyone’s enthusiasm made me feel strangely elated and I couldn’t help but to dance along. There was also a cosplayer in front of me who danced to it. I think if there was an animanga maniac who didn’t know caramelldansen, they should, like, do more research on youtube lol.

Nee-san was pretty stuffy later on about the fact that I was conquering the camera and I told her that if she could find me a cosplayer who had short brown hair, a large curl in the hair and in a blue uniform, I’d return the camera. We went through the hall a bit before we spotted Sealand-kun with someone who’s either Hungary or Belarus. I forced nee-san to take a picture with Sealand-kun. Nee-san suggested that we go search outside the hall because the cosplayer I was searching for might be outside.

I can’t believe how right she was.

Finally! I found Italy!

Sitting in a group of four, Italy, Romano, China and Japan were talking animatedly with each other. Italy was no longer wearing the blue uniform but I was just excited to see the curl sticking out of that brown wig. Once I had realized my dream of taking pictures of the Hetalia cast, nee-san, A-san and I practically wondered around and took pictures with random cosplayers. I can’t help but notice that there really were a lot of Vocaloid cosplayers in comparison to every other animes but it might just be my imagination. Pandora Hearts and Fullmetal Alchemist were thankfully there too. Seeing Sakata Gintoki and Shimura Shinpachi’s cosplayer also made me feel more complete since nee-san took a picture of gakuen Kagura earlier on.

I tried my luck inside once more and sadly noted that the battery of nee-san's camera was quickly dying. It was getting late anyway and our feet were hurting us and nee-san was worried she was starting to smell.

To my greatest awe, the Nordic brothers(?) headed my way and I quickly collected my wits and approached Finland. To add the cherry on my massive hetalia fandom cake, Su-san remained standing next to Finland. My heart was about ready to burst with fangirlish awesomeness. After that last picture, the battery completely died and I suggested we go home even though there was another hour left. I didn’t feel like I was up to watching the cosplayers without being able to take pictures of them.

So we returned home and I dozed off in the car.

That also concludes the amazing day I spent at Comic Fiesta 2009. I hope next year will be better.

My Blog is So Cool! or just random...

1. who is the awesome person who tagged you? (don't forget to link)

Nee-chan! Nee-chan tagged me!
I got tagged~!

2. tell us something about you..

I am just a normal girl who likes to dream and thinks herself highly by always using this tagline:
"I'm one hell of a girl"

which was inspired by Kuroshitsuji's Sebastian Michaelis.

^This is a mini figurine of Sebas-chan.
Oh, I like anime and manga. Local comics are okay but I prefer japanese translated ones as they are more inspiring and comes in more variety. Not to mention they're also nicely drawn. Some of them at least.

3. What is your reason to blog?

It all started with my ICT teacher ordering everyone to learn how to make a blog.
It was then that I decided to start blogging about whatever interests me.
It was Super Junior at that time. Mah
I normally write about my everyday life, animanga and super junior.
Unlike nee-chan, I didn't think of writing for the cause of my future.
I like what I like and I want to express my thoughts about it. My thoughts are always scattered and unclear but in writing, especially digitally, I can organize it to help others understand some of my complex thoughts.
My english isn't really good but I don't think I'm improving much by writing in here.
My blog is just a place for me to express the side of me that I want the world to know.

4. List and link 5 favourite post from your blog.

I like all my posts...mostly but I'll just put what I think would interest people
1- "Unnie's Long Awaited Wedding"
Because we worked hard for it.
2- "Reaching a New Age"
My birthday!
3- "And the Verdict is..."
My SPM Result.
4- "Gintama OP Similarities"
Because I worked hard to capture and arrange this. ^^
5- "Housemates"
An interesting study of humans

5. Tag 5 awesome people and inform them that they have been tagged.

I tag YOU!
So you've been informed. Please do this meme.

Kuroshitsuji in Arena

I returned to my hometown to a pleasant surprise. My sister, who I suspect wouldn’t know the actual meaning of manga, bought Arena, a local magazine that prints translated Japan comics just for me. Well, technically the magazine is hers but she’s letting me ogle it as much as I want.

Just seeing the front cover made me jump with joy. Ciel and Sebastian, chained to each other, stared back at me. I thought that Arena had decided to make a special cover on the Kuroshitsuji series but when I skimmed through the contents (very briefly) I was ecstatic to find out that they decided to add the Kuroshitsuji series among the other mangas.

On top of having found out that Kuroshitsuji was starting, the magazine also printed out a D.Gray-man poster this time. I squealed excitedly and showed the poster to everyone, though no one gave it any care. Under “The Black Order” sign on the top poster, Lavi, Allen and Kanda was posing with their weapons out. Allen was in his crowned clown state with the big sword in his hand. I have to say though that I preferred if it was the manga version. Sadly, it’s the anime version but it is D.Gray-man none-the-less so my complaint is invalid.

At night, after I finished one session of my work, I was comparing the Kuroshitsuji from Arena and onemanga to see if the translation diverted far from the actual meaning. Some of the translations tend to be like that *coughFruitsBasketcough*. Now though, I have reasons to believe that the Kuroshitsuji printed out in Arena is actually the one uploaded in onemanga. The person who translated it didn’t have an actual grasp of the “I’m one hell of a butler” pun though, that’s about it. I like the onemanga version better coz it’s in English.

I’m not saying I have a problem with this. I’m just stating an observation. My feelings are faaaaar from hating it. In fact, I wish they’d print out D.Gray-man dammit!! Now that’s complaining *grins innocently*
That’s about it, really.

Thank you, nee-san, for buying it!

Kuroshitsuji DVD

mood: ecstatic

I managed to get hold of the Kuroshitsuji DVD! Yatta!

It cost me all my pocket money but the covers are worth it! Thankfully the Kuroshitsuji series is one of those series that you can buy below RM30.

When I followed my cousin to see my sister working her booth in this popular mall in my area, I thought I was going to leave with a book in hand since I’ve been contemplating about buying a novel to read in the day. I went to Popular™ bookstores to check on the teenage novels there but sadly, the ones that had a cover I actually like looking at cost me above RM30 and I wasn’t feeling willing to spend that much on a past time I didn’t even particularly enjoy. I contemplated about checking the manga section but after one glance and one touch, I left. The mangas there were ancient! Of course the series they chose to display were fun and popular but damnit! I didn’t feel like immersing myself in any volume of Detective Conan or going down memory lane with Rurouni Kenshin vol.5!

So I decided to leave then. Just as I neared the shop entrance, I noticed the CD shop that was attached to Popular™ so I went in to investigate. On my mind that time was the need to find any old Super Junior albums or perhaps Wonder Girls (though I know I wouldn’t have bought it even if I found it). Obviously, I didn’t find any so I wanted to turn and go down and that was when I noticed tons of anime series! I’m not an otaku so I don’t know a lot of the series. I found a Ghibli studio soundtrack though but it’s a soundtrack so…yeah. When I was about to leave for real, my eyes saw it! Gintama 60-120!! Damn it! It cost a freakin’ fortune, going above RM60. I don’t have that much at that time!

So with a really heavy heart, I left the place. As I was descending through the escalator, I remembered! Speedy home entertainment! Bringing the World’s Entertainment to Malaysian Homes. Goods sold are not refundable/exchangeable. Media sold are guaranteed for 2 weeks. No kidding, that’s what it says on the resit.

Anime heaven~~
I wanted to dance in there just watching the amount of anime they have! But I’m not that brave or crazy and I was alone, so I behaved. In my mind was ‘Gintama, Gintama, Gintama,’ having been devastated because of the earlier incident.

That was when I found it! Kuroshitsuji Original DVD chapter 1-24End+free CD soundtrack with PVC protection! I was wow’ed by the DVD cover that once I got hold of it, I couldn’t set it down. I still browsed the other CDs to see if there are series that can top my fangirly-ness over Black Butler. I found Ghost in the Shell 2.0 but I wasn’t sure if it was really a new GitS series or that I just didn’t really know the name of the GitS series I’ve watched so far so no matter what, Kuroshitsuji topped that in my fangirlisness chart. I bought it and waited until after 10PM when my sister finished her work so that we could return home.

I plugged in my cousin’s notebook and shed into more comfortable clothes before I sat down on the chair and slipped the DVD in.

Now, the story about Kuroshitsuji. I first got to know it from a fanart of Sebastian and Ciel. The person who put up the fanart stated the anime title so I was interested about getting to know more about the two bishounens (thruthfully, more about Sebastian since I am far from being a pedophile. Not that I think I’ve reached the age that this issue can be easily brought up). Normally, I’d first use Google to look up the story but with Kuroshitsuji, I decided to check in Youtube. How devastated I was to note at that time that Kuroshitsuji wasn’t uploaded fully in YT so I watched what I can and laughed at what I can. By the time I reached episode 8 part 2 of 3, I grew devastated. How can anyone go on having missed a few episodes and parts damnit!

I recollected myself and decided to finally google it. That was how I found the Shinsen-subs torrents (Thank you Shinsen!) and I felt so relieved beyond imagination. I had Azures and around that time I upgraded it to Vuze so I was able to download it. The process was slow and one episode took around a day, sometimes reaching 3 days if I notice that Vuze died late but it was fun to enjoy the fruits of labour by the end of the day.

I ended up downloading from episode 1 to 9 (missing 7) before episode 10 became quite a problem to me because of some link malfunction or something. It was still okay then, because I still get to read the manga and I have to say, I enjoy the manga more even though it doesn’t have Pluto…or Pluplu or whatever. One day though, I stumbled upon an anime review blog and the blogger wrote something about the ending of Kuroshitsuji. The description was so scarce and made me really want to know since it seems that the ending wasn’t really satisfactory but was somewhat predictable.

This is probably the main reason I bought Kuroshitsuji: the ending!

When I watched it, I started from the very beginning; episode 1. I haven’t seen Kuroshitsuji in a while since my computer totally crashed around a month ago along with all my digital animanga collection. The entire night, I devoted myself to Kuroshitsuji and didn’t even pause for a second (other than change to my sister’s laptop since my cousin needed to get to work) until around 8AM. Yes, I didn’t sleep a wink. I was too excited to know the ending.

And like all the other animes I watched, happy or sad, I cried at the end. It really wasn’t that satisfactory but there were no cliffhangers damnit! It ended like it should but I wished it ended better. There was no definite indication that the Phantomhive workers made it. Tanaka also up and disappeared. I wanted so badly to just cry my heart out during Ciel’s last trip but my aunt was there, constantly coming in and leaving the room that I felt kind of embarrassed to cry openly. Tears did fall but it was quickly wiped away.

Anime Audio Actor and Actress

mood: okay

So…
During our stay to fight the baddies…
I was presented upon the chance to watch anime to my hearts content
With the help of Animax…
I managed to catch up with the latest anime activities around
I was ecstatic about being able to hear japanese again

Lucky for me, うえきの法則 (Law of Ueki) is currently being aired.
I switched to the Japanese language even before the anime starts and definitely felt like melting when 朴璐美 (Paku Romi), who was the seiyuu for Ueki, spoke. Honestly… she has such strong vocals and has been my most favorite since I began taking interest in seiyuus.

Recently though, a seiyuu has captured my attention

斎賀みつき (Saiga Mitsuki), she seiyuus for ディー・グレイマン Debitto, 鋼の錬金術師 Maria Ross, ゲットバッカーズ -奪還屋- Makubex, 今日からマ王!Wolfram, うえきの法則 Robert Haydn as well as R.O.D The TV’s Junior.
The anime that made me notice her was surprisingly not the more well known one but 隠の王 (Nabari no Ou) in which she seiyuu as the dying and emo-psychotic Yoite
To me, it’s weird because Yoite says very little in my opinion but I guess it captured my attention because I really thought a man did his voice. I guess I’m a sucker for male-voiced woman
Other than Paku Romi and Mitsuki Saiga,
I also adore these other seiyuus:
-小林沙苗 (Kobayashi Sanae)DGM’s Allen Walker, DNAngel’s Fukuda Ritsuko
- 釘宮理恵 (Kugimiya Rie)FMA’s Alphonse Elric, Nabari no Ou’s Rokujou Maharu
-石田彰 (Ishida Akira) Naruto’s Gaara, DNAngel’s Hiwatari Satoshi
-櫻井孝宏 (Sakurai Takahiro)DGM’s Kanda Yuu, KKM’s Shibuya Yuri, FFVII: Advent Children’s Cloud Strife
-竹内順子 (Takeuchi Junko)Naruto’s Uzumaki Naruto, HunterXHunter’s Gon
-杉山紀彰 (Sugiyama Noriaki)Bleach’s Ishida Uryuu, Fate/stay night’s Emiya Shirou, Kuroshitsuji’s William T. Spears

Now that I look at it closely…
A lot of the seiyuu I listed were major characters but I guess that’s what makes it special.
My favorite is still Paku Romi-san as she has a very unique voice that you can identify easily and I think she is also a beautiful woman.
But…hmm…
I listed the characters of other seiyuus but I didn’t list hers did I?
Paku Romi-san seiyuu as:
- Fullmetal Alchemist’s Edward Elric
- Law of Ueki’s Kousuke Ueki
- Bleach’s Hitsugaya Toushiro
- Naruto’s Temari
- Kuroshitsuji’s Madam Red
- Gakuen Alice’s Hyuuga Natsume
- Digimon Adventure 02’s Ichijouji Ken
- Shaman King’s Tao Ren
-Princess Princess’ Shihoudani Yuujirou
-NANA’s Osaki Nana

I got to hear her voice the first time in Fullmetal Alchemist. I think I might be a bit biased since my all-time favorite anime character is Edward Elric but let’s not get in depth with that.

My imitation of her sucks though T^T

Demon Butler

mood: all smiles

黒執事
Kuroshitsuji(Dark Butler)

Plot Summary:
One of the noble families of England - Phantomhive, has a butler, Sebastian Michaelis. He has unquestionably perfect knowledge, manners, talent with materials. martial arts and much more. But for some reason, he serves a 12 year old master... –Animenewsnetwork

Director: Shinohara Toshiya
Art Director: Hiromasa Ogura
Animation Production: A-1 Pictures Inc.
Original Creator: Tobosu Yana

I first found a picture of Sebastian and Ciel in a website by incident and I was taken by the bishounen-ish character. The person who posted the pic also wrote the title of the anime so I went searching. There was a lot of missing parts in youtube so I got frustrated and searched for downloads. Luckily (or unlucky, depends on how you look it) I found a website that gave downloads. I had to download torrent because I couldn’t use megaupload. So far there’s only 10 episodes that are subbed (Thank you Shinsen-subs!) but I’ve also taken to reading the manga up to chapter 28 now! I find that both have quite different storyline and I like both the anime and manga.

Name: Sebastian Michaelis
Race: Demon
Age: Unknown
Occupation: Butler
Seiyuu: Ono Daisuke(Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi – Koizumi Itsuki, Uta Kata – Ryo)
This man…is the coolest bishounen butler ever! It’s like the summary; he has a wide range of knowledge, manners, talent with materials, martial arts and so much more. Well, he’s a demon but still. He does his works in an unbelievable speed. He always manages to fix the mistakes made by the idiotic servants in the Phantomhive manor. He can be sadistic but that’s a given considering his origin and all. In the manga, he is said to have savaged on lost souls in his past before getting bored of the tastelessness of it. Thus, he searched for rich souls like Ciel’s who no longer trust in god. His favourite quote it seems is: “Watakushi akuma te shitsuji desukara” which can be translated as “I’m one hell of a butler” or “I’m a butler and a demon” or “I’m a butler to the core”. I would describe him as absolute coolness.

Name: Ciel Phantomhive
Age: 12
Occupation: Head of Phantomhive as well as the Funtom Toy Company
Seiyuu: Sakamoto Maaya(D.Gray-man – Roufa, Ouran High School Host Club – Fujioka Haruhi, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE – Princess Tomoyo)

He is an absolutely adorable, emo-ish and funny brat. He always tries to find ways to make Sebastian’s work harder than it already despite the fact that Sebastian does his bidding for him. But then again, it’s understandable because Sebastian is a really sadistic person that tries to find ways to annoy Ciel as much as he can. I’m not sure about the anime but in the manga, Ciel’s past is unveiled to be hellish. After the murder of his parents as well as everyone in the Phantomhive manor(as well as his dog, Sebastian), Ciel was abducted and turned into a pet in the underworld of England. After getting various kinds of beating(I’m not sure if he was exposed to ‘that’ kind of torture), he lost faith in gods and that in turned summoned the demon(later he was called Sebastian Michaelis). He confesses that the reason he returned back to becoming the successor of Phantomhive was not to get revenge on his parents but to destroy the England underworld. The Phantomhive, for generations, had served under the queen as watchdogs that the society does not know of. If there is any mystery that involves unsolved cases of paranormal or underworld, the queen calls for Ciel to solve it and he does with any possible means available.

To my extreme delight, I found out Paku Romi-san was also a seiyuu in the anime. She took the role of Angelina Durless a.k.a Madam Red and an Older brother in episode 6. Madam Red was Ciel’s aunt on his mother’s side. She was also in love with Ciel’s father but her sister was faster than her but she loved her sister and she loved that man so it was okay at first. She married a man that she didn’t really love but he loved her and he didn’t mind the fact that she still couldn’t forget about ‘that man’. She soon got pregnant but got into an accident. Her husband died and she had to remove her womb as well. Shortly after recovering, she witnessed the Phantomhive manor burned to the ground, killing the two people she loved most and Ciel was also missing. In episode 7, she was killed after Ciel revealed her to be the culprit behind the mass murder of prostitutes in the case ‘Jack the Ripper’. She did it because she felt angry that the prostitutes were so willing to undergo operation to remove their undeveloped baby while she was stripped off the ability of producing babies. It was sad though because, despite her madness, she loved Ciel like her own son and to have Ciel finally work out she was behind the murder…well…it was sad.

I’m awaiting the continuation of the anime with hopes of seeing more Plue!
As for the manga, I want to know the truth about the circus as well as more info about Ciel and Sebastian’s past.
